Once you get to this point, you are ready for your own truck, whether you are doing solo or team driving. You made it! Knowing that this semi-truck is your full responsibility is the most important, take good care of it and yourself. If anything happens to the truck, know that is your name and record that is on the line, and in a trucking career that is a big deal.

Dealing with your first load;
- Going out on your own for the first time can be extremely nerve-racking. It is important to be confident in yourself and your driving abilities, listen to your dispatcher and get to your first load safe and sound. The first load may be difficult, depending on where the loading dock is, you may have to park it in a challenging spot. don't see this as discouraging if you don't get it right on the first try, see it at a learning experience. There will be plenty of more difficult situations like that to come.

- Transitioning into a trucking career can be one of the hardest parts of the job. As many truckers say, trucking isn't just a career, it is a lifestyle. The thing you will struggle with the most is missing home and your family. Completing your first 3 months;
- The first three months of your trucking career will be the hardest and most trying times possibly of your life, but we promise once you get past that first couple of months the future is very bright for you. These months are used to get you used to the lifestyle and become confident in yourself as a truck driver. After the first 3 or so months, new opportunities through the company will become available. Including different routes that may be local or direct, helping you be home more than OTR.
