Do you ever stop what you're doing and question why you’re even doing it in the first place? That happened to me a couple of weeks ago when I was looking back at 2015. I reflected on the highs and lows of a great year. Actually, I try and ask myself why I’m doing what I’m doing a few times a year. It keeps me on top of my career and reminds me how and why I got into trucking in the first place.
I have written so many truck driving blogs that it feels like it’s almost become a second job, on top of a very demanding first job: being a professional truck driver. But asking yourself, “Why am I doing this?" at different points of the year will definitely have you answering yourself differently each time.
I Want To Help Truckers
Why am I doing this truck driver blog when it takes up so much of my time when I'm not behind the wheel? Actually, I don't just blog. I make videos, and have started a new and growing Facebook page on top of blogging and trucking. Driver Solutions and I started all of this because we thought if we could help even just one student or new driver, it would be well worth it. Turns out, it definitely was.
Especially since having started my new page, our efforts can be seen having an impact on the lives of truckers. I’ve recently received some really great feedback from new drivers. A few students wrote me saying they had just started truck driving school and were very gracious in their compliments about my blog and Facebook page. They told me how it really helped them before and during their time in CDL training. Most importantly, they said it prepared them to be successful as they started their first truck driving job. It’s extremely gratifying to know that what I’ve been putting out there is truly helping aspiring truck drivers.

How We Want To Grow
With that being said, we really want to expand our reach in 2016. We would like to help more students, more inexperienced truckers, and even veteran truckers by creating more content that’s useful no matter your level of experience. We have made a conscious effort to maintain a positive atmosphere. If you've ever been on the Internet and read any comments, you know that's a tough task to accomplish sometimes...LOL
We want real stories with real, tangible information. We don’t want to put something out there just for the sake of shock value. We want to create an environment across all of our channels where drivers feel like they can ask questions or check in on the page to see new, interactive content that can really help them.
Moving forward in 2016 I hope you feel you can invite your friends to follow our blog, Facebook page, and website. You will always get straight answers and great information about your truck driving job and truck driving school, and hopefully take away something you can use on your journey.
