"The whole staff in the front office is absolutely wonderful. Mrs julie make sure you do what's needed to be done. Trucking During COVID-19

1st Year Review with PAM Transport

"I finished my first year with PAM Transport and am still working with them. I made the right decision to be apart of PAM Transports Company, since I began working with them till now, I have gotten so much experience with great care and support. I always appreciate their non stop assistance, care and understanding. I just feel all PAM members are like a Family to me.

They have good miles, trucks in great condition, and offer different benefits based on our performance. I was more than lucky to have such an amazing driver Manager, which I can easily communication with. I got a new Truck as well, a 2020 in great condition. I start my job driving solo soon but right now I am working as a Mentor. I'm teaching students while at the same time driving my part. Being a Mentor is a great chance for better miles and benefits. As a Mentor, you must have patience, be responsible, be honest and be professional in order to deliver the proper experience to co drivers/Trainees.

"My first year with PAMT was everything I had hoped. I was able to travel to 37 states and over 154,000 miles driving and riding. I experienced both team and solo and then began as a Mentor in my 9th month. In 2020 I was able to be a mentor to 5 trainees and each one was enjoyable to teach. I enjoy solo time when I do not have a trainee, however, I also really enjoy being a support to trainees and teaching them how to be as safe and successful as possible once they upgrade.

Each PAMT employee I interact with from my Driver Manager to Logs, to Road Rescue and Maintenance is predominantly helpful and friendly.

I look forward to my second year driving for PAMT!"

Wolfinbarger was seeking a training module that would help its staff learn faster and better through a more convenient source. Montie also wanted to find a better way to "train technicians and track their progress to keep its shop on par with dealerships for maintenance and warranty work" (FleetOwner). After having discussions with different companies, they deciding to go through Luma, they designed a system called the Luma eNugget LMS! This system includes "a collection of more than 500 customizable learning modules, called Luma eNuggets, that cover relevant driver safety, compliance, and orientation topics with content in mixed mediums" (FleetOwner). 

Within the first months to a year, "PAM Transport has seen training efficiencies and learning outcomes improve for drivers and technicians" (FeetOwner). These include:

• Increases in warranty recovery
• Reductions in standard repair times
• Elimination of paper forms
• Career advancement

Not only has this helped many departments at PAM Transport learn and exceed in their roles, but it has also helped truck drivers significantly. With this technology, it has allowed better maintenance services with faster turnaround times - that way truckers aren't waiting for long periods of time when their truck breaks down or needs servicing! In a blog written on Tuesday, PAM outlined all the obstacles they've faced over the past 40 years. As stated in the 40th-anniversary blog post:

"PAM’s early days began in 1980 with only five used Freightliner tractors and 15 trailers, and a goal to deliver customer products safely and on time. Just four years later, our fleet grew to 100 tractors and 160 trailers. In 1986, we became a publicly-traded company and now boast over 2,000 tractors, 6,000 trailers, and over 2,400 drivers."

These 3 special ladies all started at different times, but have not gone off the path of working for PAM. That shows a lot about a company and how they treat their employees! Each of them talked about the different experiences and changes that have come and gone throughout the years, but what has stayed the same throughout these 40 years is "PAM's commitment to a positive and family-like atmosphere for both our in-office staff and drivers" (PAM Transport Blog Post 11/1/2020).
