Stick With It - The Money Will Come
The most important thing to understand when it comes to truck driver pay is that trucking is not a get rich quick scheme. What I mean by that is it'll probably take some time before you're at the point where you want to be financially.
Don't get me wrong, you can make good money your first year. In fact, you can make up to $50,000 in the 1st year driving for PAM Transport. But, what I am saying is that much of your first year will be focused on learning the ins and outs of trucking.
I think all too often new truck drivers come in with unrealistic expectations because they're used to seeing their Uncle Bob who has been trucking for 20 years with the nice house, cars and plenty of money. While this is attainable, it's just not going to happen right away. You've got to stick with it to get to this point.

Successful Trucking Careers - Built on 1st Year
Much of your success in trucking is built upon that first year. It's during the first 12 months that you'll find out the best way to run the miles to make the money you want to make. You'll learn which type of route you're most comfortable with and what career path works best for you.
In short, what I'm trying to say is that your first year will help you put yourself in position to make trucking a great long-term career and the money will most definitely follow.
