Trucking through Labor Day

Every year on the first Monday of September, the United States celebrates Labor Day.

It’s a “tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.”

It’s a weekend for the 8 to 5 workingman to take a day off, relax, and take pride in what he or she, and the rest of America’s workers, have accomplished.

Trucking through Labor Day

As many Americans prepare for a weekend of cookouts and relaxation, remember that there's one group that doesn't stop working on Labor Day - truck drivers.

Truckers don't stop, because they can't. Truck drivers perform a job that oftentimes gets taken for granted; but really, what they do is the lifeblood of America.

They work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to make sure that you get the goods you need. Without our drivers and their nonstop work to deliver goods in a safe and efficient manner, there probably wouldn’t be a Labor Day cookout for you to enjoy with your family and friends.

Thank a Trucker

There are currently 3.5 million people employed as truck drivers, delivering 70% of the nation’s domestic freight to every corner of the country, every single day of the year.

If you’re traveling this Labor Day weekend, you’re guaranteed to see trucks rolling down the highways keeping America going. While you're sitting back, hanging out with friends and enjoying what will hopefully be a great weekend, there are going to be truckers out there making sure you get everything you need to enjoy your time off.

In an industry where its contributions to the American economy and way of life often go overlooked, we want to take the time to sincerely thank our truckers for their nonstop commitment to keeping our country going.

If you have a moment, take the chance to stop and thank a trucker this weekend for what they do.

They can't be thanked enough.
