Find Trucking Companies That Hire Inexperienced Drivers
How do you find a ________ job without any experience?
Litterally, you can fill in the blank with just about anything. Don't ya just love it?
You want a job, but all the good ones are only hiring people with experience. Then, how in the world are you supposed to get the experience to get the job in the first place? Crazy, isn't it?
A question that gets asked all the time is, "what trucking companies hire & train inexperienced drivers?"
Well, a lot of them do. PAM Transport, Schneider, C.R. England, Swift, Prime Inc., Knight, CRST, Stevens....the list goes on.
How Do They Do it?
Many trucking companies offer company sponsored (also called company paid) CDL training.
Company sponsored/paid CDL training means that a trucking company is taking call of all the upfront schooling costs. This is a good thing if cash flow is tight as tuition at many CDL schools can range from $4,000.00 to $6,000.00. For many people, the company sponsored option is better than clearing out a savings account or taking out a loan.
Which Company Should I Choose?
It is important to ask if the company does any type of credit check - especially if you do not have great credit. With Driver Solutions, you do not need to go through a credit check because you are not taking out a loan. So you can get started, regardless of your credit situation.
Something else to consider is what happens after training. If a company is going to sponsor a driver's tuition, they are going to expect something in return. Some trucking companies will require that the driver sign a 2-year contract to work with their company in exchange for them covering the upfront tuition cost. Two years is a long time to be locked into a contract with a company when you are entering a new profession.
Last, but certainly not least, you will want to look at the quality of training you will be receiving and the trucking companies that are offering the company sponsored training option. How long have they been in business? What type of reputation do they have with their employees?
Driver Solutions has been in business for over 25 years and we work with some of the best CDL schools in the country to provide company sponsored CDL training.
