PAM Transport Truckers of the Year
As National Truck Driver Appreciation Week continues, we wanted to take the time to highlight some of PAM Transport’s top drivers. Below are the 2015 Team and Solo Driver of the Year. Greg Porinchak and Herb Dieter, who have been with PAM for over 10 years. These drivers separate themselves from the rest by running hard, staying committed to going the extra mile, and delivering their loads in a safe and efficient manner.
Team Drivers of the Year
Greg Porinchak and Herb Dieter, based out of Ohio, exemplify what team truck drivers should look like. With a professional manner and special skill in efficiency, the two can be trusted to get their loads delivered safely and on time. Quick to credit their manager and load planners, it's no wonder they were named the 2015 Team of the Year!
Solo Driver of the Year
Mike Slocum started with PAM in January of 2015. He's an excellent communicator with his driver manager, and runs hard as a solo driver. But, perhaps what stands out the most about him is his willingness to go the extra mile whenever he can.
How to Become a Driver of the Year
To be a PAM Driver of the Year, you first have to become a Driver of the Month. Driver managers nominate truckers for their outstanding work every month. From there, the Safety department looks up nominees records to ensure they haven't had any accidents, incidents, or complaints during the last 12 months.
The 10 best nominees each month are then selected and sent to four other departments for scoring. Drivers are scored from 1 to 10 with 1 being the best. The driver with the lowest score wins the award, a plaque and letter from PAM's CEO Dan Cushman, and is entered into the running for Driver of the Year.
