PAM Transport Improves Driver Experience

To put it simply, PAM Transport is committed to making your experience as a truck driver the best it can be.

It’s why over the past few years, the company has made various improvements to its fleet, facilities, and operations. Get a quick overview of some of PAM's exciting updates below:

Operations and In-Cab Improvements

In addition to having one of the newest fleets in the industry, PAM has also committed to improving the technology used inside its cabs. At the end of 2015, PAM purchased software that better tracks drivers’ miles and efficiency.

PAM has also developed a Driver App makes it easier for drivers to communicate outside the truck. One perk is that load assignments received via Qualcomm can be seen on a driver’s smartphone. Payroll is accessible, and future developments will allow drivers to see accident reports, safety messages, and maintenance notifications.

Fleet Improvements

PAM already has one of the newest fleets in the industry. But that’s not good enough.

Throughout 2016, 400 tractors and over 1400 trailers will be put to work, including 10 new Peterbilt’s that will be tested and compared from a maintenance and efficiency standpoint. This helps PAM stay at the forefront of the industry in providing its drivers with the best fleet possible.

Facility Updates

Various PAM facilities are also being updated to improve drivers downtime. In Little Rock, the driver lounge is being updated, and new restroom, laundry facilities, and a lounge area  are being built to include TV rooms.

In Tontitown, AR, PAM’s driver lounge and motel were just renovated in 2015, and a driver lounge was added in Laredo, TX. Laredo has even added a basketball court for drivers to enjoy in their downtime!

Finally, in North Jackson, OH, PAM purchased a new terminal that will include laundry, showers, and TV rooms.

It’s commitments like these to improving every aspect of the driver experience that proves that PAM truly cares about its employees, and it’s that kind of difference that separates PAM from its competitors.
