When it comes to making money in truck driving, it really is just about applying yourself. If you go out there and you work hard, run hard, you'll get the miles and you'll make good money. 2. What to Look for in Trucking Companies
As far as what to look for in other trucking companies, I now know what's most important to me. I know what type of lane I want to run and how much I'd like to be getting paid to make the money I want to make. This is one of the main things with getting that first year done is that it allows you to put things into perspective with want you want to do next with your trucking career.
3. How the Trucking Business Works
I know what to do, what not to do, and questions to ask that make the job easier. I've also learned the best way to run my miles so that I can make the amount of money that I want to get paid. In short, I'm more familiar with the ins-and-outs of the trucking business.
Final Thoughts on My First Year
It was a good year. It really was. I'm not going to lie to you, it was definitely tough. But, I stuck with it and here I am now. I made it and I can pick what I want to do next. On top of that, I don't owe anything for CDL training. That's a pretty good position to be in after a year in trucking.
