FAQ Friday - Part 3

In the 3rd edition of our "FAQ Friday" series, we dive into find more answers to some of the most frequently asked truck driving questions we receive in our email box each week.  

This week, we received a lot of questions surrounding how long our training program and job opportunities last. It's very normal to wonder how long things are going to last, especially when starting a new truck driving career.

This Week's Trucking FAQs

  1. How long will I be away from home?
    1. Once you graduate from truck driving school and become a trucker with PAM Transport, you can expect to be away from home for about 2-3 weeks at a time.
  2. How long is truck driving school?
    1. Different truck driving schools have different lengths of programs. However, our partner truck driving schools typically last just under 4 weeks.

  3. How long does PAM orientation last (after trucking school)?
    1. Orientation with PAM lasts about a week after you finish training. There, you'll finish up paperwork and get some final training in before you're introduced to your Driver Mentor.
  4. How long is the employment contract?
    1. The employment contract you sign when you agree to drive for PAM lasts for 1 year.
