What is the best hotel for truckers? 

It doesn't take long to get used to sleeping in a truck, but sometimes you just want to crash in a hotel while traveling the USA. So what are the best hotel options are there for truck drivers?  

Well, we asked drivers of all experience levels to share their favorites and then had them vote. Here are the top choices...

#1 - Holiday Inn

The #1 voted hotel to stay at while out on the road driving was Holiday Inn. They have locations all throughout the U.S., making it easy to find one that is near you. The Holiday Inn was founded on August 1st, 1952 and as of September 2018 had 1,173 active hotels and over 214,000 bedrooms. Including locations in the U.S., Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific!! Check out their website here.

#2 - Comfort Inn

The Comfort Inn is another hotel that has several locations. This was voted the #2 best hotel options for truckers. The Comfort Inn is apart of the Choice Hotels International chain. "The company, which is one of the largest hotel chains in the world, owns several hotel brands ranging from upscale to economy. As of March, 2019, Choice Hotels franchised 7,005 properties in 41 countries and territories worldwide, with approximately 568,112 rooms" (Choice Hotels International). #3 - La Quinta Inn

Our #3 voted best hotel voted by truck drivers is the La Quinta Inn. The La Quinta Inn was founded in 1968 and has locations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Honduras. As of December 2018, the company owns and operates 914 properties with 89,456 rooms. Check out their website here

Red Roof Inn

Red Roof Inn

The #4 voted best hotel is the Red Roof Inn. The Red Roof Inn was founded in 1947 and has over 650 properties mainly in the Southern, Midwest, and Eastern United States. Not only is this Inn extremely affordable, but it is also pet friendly!! Big deal for those of you traveling with your pups. Check out their website here
