1. The Scenery (Travel)
The love of travel and scenery is something that speaks to anyone who wants to become a truck driver. There's nothing better than getting to see our beautiful country from way up high behind the wheel of a big rig. As Glenn says, the different landscapes and views are definitely one of the things he enjoys when it comes to truck driving.
2. Working Independently (Being Your Own Boss)
Getting up when you want to and setting your own schedule for the day certainly provides some freedom other jobs simply don't offer. While still working for a company, PAM Transport drivers are empowered to have independence when it comes to managing their day. No boss micromanaging or watching over your shoulder. Now that type of freedom is something everyone can appreciate.
3. Being Comfortable During Downtime (Updated Driver's Lounge)
In addition to having one of the newest fleets in the industry, PAM Transport recognizes that driver comfort is a big deal. That's why the company has recently made it a point to update many of their driver lounges and other trucking facilities. As Glenn showcases in the video above, some driver lounges feature flat screen TVs, snack machines, washers and dryers, movie rooms, nice furniture, and updated showers. Drivers work hard and being able to enjoy their downtime in a comfortable, freshly updated lounge is a huge plus of driving for PAM.
