Is the grass really greener on the other side?
Ever ask yourself this question? Odds are, no matter what you decide to do you'll wonder this at some point.

Finish Your First Year in Trucking
When it comes to thinking the grass is greener on the other side, the most important thing I can tell you is to stick with your truck driving job for at least the first year. Yes, there will be times when it's tough. But, if you go through a company sponsored CDL training program, jumping ship during your first year means that you're breaking your word to the trucking company that paid for your training.
Find a Trucking School Near You
Just like we helped Wayne get rolling, Driver Solutions can help you get the CDL training you need to become a truck driver. Just take a few moments to complete our online driver application now and we'll work to find a trucking school near you.
Learn from Your Mistakes
I've always said that learning what NOT to do is just as important as learning what you SHOULD do. Listen, I've made my fair share of mistakes...I mean I cheer for the Detroit Lions for crying out loud. LOL. And I can tell you that thinking the grass was greener with another trucking company turned out to be a mistake.
So, get that first year in. Learn about the lifestyle and the job itself. 12 months is a short time, it really is. Stick with it and the doors WILL open up.
