CDL Training School - Week 3
Walter brings decades of experience to the table as he talks about what to expect during Week 3 of CDL training. During Week 3, CDL instructors really focus on the details of what was taught in the prior weeks, this is to see how well you retained the information. The main focus will be on the pretrip, as well as street and range driving. Instructors really want to see that you are building your confidence to become an entry-level truck driver.
Street Training
Be prepared to take a test on the pretrip inspection, range skills, and on your driving skills. Dependent on how well these are performed, the instructors will then decide when you're ready to take the test to earn your CDL license. If there are some areas where you may have struggled, the instructors will have you continue to practice until you are 100% prepared to be on the road. If all areas covered were performed well, then the instructors will schedule a time for you to take your CDL test. Whether it be in the 3rd or 4th week when you finally test, during week 3 is when you'll be polishing your skills as you prepare for the big day.
