Some Good Trucking News - Week 6
We are onto the next month already in this crazy, challenging year. Hopefully, October brings some joy, good news, and good health to all! I don't know about you, but I'm ready for 2020 to be over!!! One of the biggest things that are helping me get through these tough times is our weekly post in our trucking Facebook group, RoadWarriors! This post asks truckers to share some AWESOME, POSITIVE NEWS that has happened to them or someone they know in the last week or so!!
Well, after TONS of comments, it goes to show that we are not the only ones craving some good news. As it turns out, there are so many amazing, beautiful things happening in the world that simply get overlooked. Especially in the trucking community. It's time we shine a light on it now! Take a look at SOME GOOD TRUCKING NEWS from truckers themselves...
“ I took that very first step and getting back on board trucking again after my husband James G. accident and his passing away from cancer I took some time to myself now I'm ready to get back on track again." - Connie G.
"Got the opportunity to spend the day with an old friend I hadn't seen for over 40 years." - Richard W.
"I bought a homeless lady a meal and took her somewhere to get showered and cleaned up gave her my tent even though I needed money for school I feel good now just the greatfullness she had good on both ends." - Matt S.
"Grandson Karson was born Monday evening!" - Kevin S.
"Found out my Dad's chemo is working the spot on his brain is gone and the tumors in his lungs have shrunk!!" - Candice S.
"I'm from Nashville, TN, I was in upstate New York and held the door open for an elderly lady at a Pilot. She look at me, smiled, and said that's the first time anyone's ever held the door for me." - Shane S.
"I had a couple days at home last weekend en route to deliver. Me and the family smiled." - Billy T.
"I bought a guy supper last night because he only had EBT and couldn't use it on a hot meal so I bought him supper and walked away." - Nate S.
"I was told I didn't need knee surgery!! So we went and purchased 2 bikes for our grandbabies bdays tomorrow!!" - Lori Q.
Bought breakfast for a group of cops and then the waitress informed me that another driver bought my breakfast because I got the cops before they could!" - Michael L.
"Gave someone a ride from Iowa to Texas so they could get home safely." - Mitch B.
"I helped another driver eat for a few days." - Arreta G.
Now, don't you feel all warm and fuzzy inside after reading these?! I know I do!!
