Tim Ross, a truck driver trainer for P.A.M. Transport, got into the trucking industry to be his own boss and enjoy the freedom of the open road as an OTR, or over-the-road, truck driver.  Before becoming a truck driver, Tim served his country in the United States Army for eight years, was a supervisor, and a bodyguard for an entertainment security company.  He finally decided that he didn’t want to be in charge of anybody but himself, so he looked into professional truck driving.

The Driver Solutions Network offered the best CDL training program for Tim. "With the Driver Solutions company paid CDL training program, it was easy to get my CDL and start driving for P.A.M. Transport. I'm my own boss and I've been able to see so many things while driving across the country. And I can give my family what they want, not just what they need."

Driver Solutions has a network of CDL truck driver training schools and trucking companies that will cover the upfront costs of the CDL training and provide inexperienced truck drivers with a job offer before they ever attend the trucking school.  Tim took advantage of this offer and began his training for a CDL.  Once he completed his truck driver training, Tim got on board with an experienced truck driver trainer to complete his OTR training and ultimately become a first seat, solo truck driver.
