USA Truck Awards $10,000 in Scholarships to Employees’ Dependents
USA Truck has added another accomplishment to its trend of positive media coverage lately. On May 29, the company awarded $10,000 in college scholarships to children of USA Truck team members through the USA Truck Scholarship Program.
Each of the 10 students received $1,000 to put towards any accredited two- or four-year academic institution. The winners are: Caitlynn Anderson, Taneisha Brown, Jarvis Davis, Josiah Farr, Spencer Hart, Jessica Harville, Michael Harville, Chelsea Hays, Kamy Kershner, and Valeria Toles.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be:
- Dependent children of USA Truck team members, aged 24 and under. The USA Truck team member must have a minimum of one year of employment with the company for their child/dependent to be eligible.
- High school seniors or graduates, or postsecondary undergraduates
- Planning to attend a technical school, 2-year college, or 4-year college for the upcoming academic year
To apply for the scholarship, students must complete an application and submit a current grade transcript to Scholarship Management Services. Scholarship recipients are then selected by Scholarship Management Services based on academic record, leadership and participation, community activities/extracurriculars, work experience, and outside recommendation.
Congrats to all the recipients of the USA Truck Scholarship!
