USA Truck, a carrier company that Driver Solutions works closely with, won big at the 2012 Arkansas Trucking Association Championship in early June. The competition was held June 8th at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers, Arkansas. To participate in the competition, truck drivers must be employed by an Arkansas Trucking Association member company.
Categories for competition include: 3-Axle, 4-Axle, 5-Axle, Flatbed, Sleeper, Step Van, Straight Truck, Tank, and Twins.
USA Truck driver Jodie Yoder won an impressive third place finish in the 5-Axle Sleeper division of the competition. Other competing USA Truck drivers were James Crump, William Dahlstrom, Jonathan Freeman, Mark Loeffler, Lou Meyer, Kenneth Petti, Scott Raby, John Rampenthal, and Robert Williams.
Several USA Truck technicians competed as well and took home honors in the Air Conditioning and Electrical categories. Van Buren driver Jesse Elmore led USA Truck in overall ranking with a fifth-place finish in the competition. The USA Truck technician team will compete in the National Technicians Skills Competition, TMC SuperTech 2012, September 10-13 in Pittsburgh.
USA Truck is a truckload general carrier, meaning that they haul full trailers of a single carrier's freight to a consumer-chosen location. They run in the 48 contiguous states as well as some areas of southern Canada. USA Truck is headquartered in Van Buren, Arkansas and currently has a fleet of about 2,500 tractors and 6,000 trailers.
