What’s in a name? If you’re PAM Transport, a lot of different things.
We come across all kinds of misfires people have made when looking for information on the trucking company PAM Transport. It’s ok – we get it. Names can be difficult to get right. Just for fun, here are some of the search blunders we’ve seen in Google over the last year or so…
Pan Am Trucking: I’m as big a fan of the Hunger Games series as the next person, but this transportation company is not named after or headquartered in the dystopian land of Panem where children fight to the death. That’s probably a good thing though, because it sounds like a scary gig to have. It also has no affiliation with the defunct airline name Pan Am that Don Draper courted on Mad Men.
Pams Transport/Pams Trucking: Who is Pam? I don’t know, but she sounds like a friendly person. Unfortunately, Pam doesn’t even exist, but it’s alright, we understand the confusion. Pam’s Transport does sound like a pretty nice place to be.
PAMtrucking: Gotta love this progressive, modern styling on the name. Still not quite the company’s name though.
PAM Truckin: We certainly can appreciate the country twang on this search term, but trucking is still spelled with a ‘g’ at the end.
PAM Tranport: Now we’re getting really close…but still no cigar.
PAM Transports: Pam transports what? Cattle? Cars? Dry goods? We’ll discuss this below. Almost there…
The name’s PAM Transport.
While the above names are pretty amusing, the trucking company’s actual name is PAM Transport.
Sadly, the company is not named after a Pam. In fact, there isn’t even a Pam. This is one of the biggest misconceptions about the company. PAM Transport is not named after a lady at the company named Pam, but after the company founder’s initials – P.A.M. Pam’s Transport and Pam’s Trucking are just misheard or mistyped search attempts at the company’s real name.
