Truck Driver Fitness:  Keep on Track with the Jawbone Up24

It's no secret that a trucking lifestyle makes it challenging to stay healthy. Hours behind the wheel, greasy truck stop food at every corner, and a lack of exercise can lead to weight gain and health problems on the road if we're not careful. But it doesn't have to be this way! It's still entirely possible to lead a healthy lifestyle on the road if a driver is willing to put in the discipline and hard work.

A great way to stay motivated to exercise on the road is by using a fitness tracker. These come in many makes and models, but there are a few out there that are more popular than others. One such fitness tracker is the Jawbone Up24. The Jawbone is worn on your wrist like a bracelet and functions similar to a pedometer. It measures steps taken, exercise, calories burned, hours slept, and quality of sleep. The Up24 also has a nifty little feature called the Smart Alarm which will gentle vibrate to wake you up in the morning, eliminating the need for a noisy, blaring alarm clock.

Our friends over at The Healthy Trucker did a full review of the Jawbone Up24 and you can get a recap in this video.  Give it a watch to find out if this is a good choice for truck drivers.
