Donald Rouselle from Driver Solutions Facebook page asks:  How much hand unloading (fingerprinting) do you do? Are you expected to do that with every load?

Hi Donald and thank you for your question!

It truly depends on the company you work for as to how much unloading you do. Some companies will hire lumpers to unload the truck for you, meaning you don't have to. But if they don't hire lumpers, you will have to unload the truck. You should check with your trucking company on this before you commit to their program. That way you can make an informed decision and you're not surprised if you are unloading a truck at some point.

Now, with that being said, I have no idea why there are lumpers to begin with. You are bringing a load to them from another company, then they want to charge you to unload it?? Maybe I'm crazy, but that doesn't make any sense to me.
