USA Truck - Future Looks Better, Customer Service Is Key

USA Truck LogoUSA Truck president & CEO, Cliff Beckham, recently addressed freight market conditions in a phone message to his drivers. He outlined the soft freight market in January, traditionally the softest month of shipping freight in the trucking industry. Mr. Beckham, however, reassured his drivers that new freight customers are coming on line, and he expects the company to rebound and be in a stronger position.

With a strong game plan and improving freight market, it looks like USA Truck will be a carrier to watch in 2012.

Part of USA Truck's Plan for 2012 Includes:

  • Specific goals for every department that focus on improvements in customer service, safety, manned tractors, and fixed costs
  • Recent addition of a new Director to Board, Robert Peiser, with several years of experience assisting companies during transition in the transportation, food and beverage, technology services, retailing, distribution and manufacturing industries
  • Further cost control efforts which have so far proven to be successful in offsetting some of the lower asset utilization the company was experiencing
